What a good tech helper looks like
In Hebron, people hire tech helpers for Wi-Fi setup, new phones, smart TVs, printers and helping parents with devices. Before you let anyone in, look for:
- Patience explaining things simply
- A neighbor they've already helped
- Clear pricing by the visit
- Never needing your passwords written down
Questions to ask before you hire
- What devices do you work with?
- Do you charge per visit or per hour?
- Can you show me how to do it next time?
- Do you do in-home visits?
Red flags
- Calls you out of the blue offering to fix your computer
- Asks for remote access to your bank
- Wants payment in gift cards
